i am the girl that no one wants the girl in the corner, looking at the boys across the room with a wanting in her eyes i am the girl that cries herself to sleep the girl that feels the need to weep Whenever a certain song comes on the radio I am the girl that watches television to see All the girls that are prettier than me Being happy I am not happy like them- The night is my companion The solitude my guide Would I spend forever here And not be satisfied? Excellent write and good topic!! Too often these little things go unnoticed by most in observing others when the slightest encouragement would work wonders for that sad one in the corner. Nice job writing.  |

Hon, don't ever think that you are alone because you aren't pretty (which I'm sure you are!)! You are just shy, if you would get up and talk to everyone instead of sitting in the corner, you would be a lot happier. I speak from experience. I used to be the wallflower, thinking that I couldn't have a good time unless I was pretty. I couldn't have been more wrong. When I got the guts to start talking to some people, I found that they weren't the ones with the problem... it was me. TV isn't reality, it's the work of twisted screenwriters. You should never apply your life to anything on TV. Well, I'm rambled enough. Best of luck! This is soooo sad...hun please dont compare yourself to whats on tv. That is a completely unrealistic view of what the normal teen looks like. Everyone is pretty in their own way...you dont need to be like 100lbs with blonde hair and blue eyes to be beautiful...be proud of who you are... |

Hey good poem! I like how you expressed your feelings. But one thing I have to say don't get your self down girl. I don't know you or have even seen you or talked to you but from this poem I know there is a good person here. One other thing when it all comes down it's only the personality that matters not looks only last a little while in relationships. I think its so often that we compare ourselves to this image of a made-for-tv women. But if we were all supposed to fit into a size 0 jeans and be a gorgeous supermodel then there would be no diversity. And it is that diversity that makes everyone special and beautiful. Being able to write something like that puts you above all of those who are soo gorgeous. And when push comes to shove you will be the happy one. Just remember that you are better than that and have confidence in yourself, and then you can be happy. But dont worry you arent the onyl one who has feelings like that. |

Awesome And i would just like to add that all those models make me sick, i dont even think some of them are pretty because they are so skinny. think about how unhappy they really are not being able to eat certain things, ect. You should be happy being you, because if a guy doesnt see that "special you" then he's not worth your time ~!*DQ*!~ "A true friend can see the truth and pain in your eyes, even when you're fooling everyone else" |

These days us girls compare ourselves to models. Because they are pretty and "have it all". Well not all of them do. We dont have to be picture perfect like them cuz god made us all unique and different from everybody else. So dont think that you arent good enough if you dont look like a model. People leave our lives as quickly as they come, but the ones that mean something leave footprints in our hearts. |
