I found myself dipping my foot into the nostaglic pool
The ripples and waves
Started to play with my mind
And what I found reflecting back at me was you
Your eyes so perfectly radiating a mixture of green and blue
And your lips whispering, "I love you"
But how could that be
When you've never uttered those words to me
It must be a mixture of the wind and my stirring emotions
To think of such a silly notion
But yet the birds seemed to know your voice
As they softly whispered amongst the noise
Of the ripples and waves
It's as if your unspoken words
Were coming to me beyond the grave
Yet why should it have startled me
Or even bothered me
To fancy such an unrealistic fantasy
As the pond reflected such long forgotten desires
And helped re-fuel all forbidden fires....

It's amazing how just one glance, one thought of a person from your past can get all of those feelings started again. I know the feeling well, and you describe it beautifully in this poem. Thanks for sharing!

that poem was wonderful. i love the way you did it, not like you were acually talking to the person but more like pretending they were there and talking to them. It reminded me of a dream i once had. great work!!
