11.13.00

I think just for tonight
I'll expose my heart to you
As I sit here alone
Pouring out my fears onto paper
Protected only by the thoughts of you
And by the flickering candle light
Of this solitary candle
This music radiating from my soul
Longs to grip onto something sturdy
Onto something I know that would never leave me cold
And my body longs to be enveloped
In something warm that would last for hours
For it's always tricked by the pleasurable warmth of a shower
Inviting and caressing away the pain
Yet laughs cruelly, when I walk away
I'm unable to trap in the warmth within the folds of my towel
I love it all sinking deep down
Into each and every crevice and pore
But curse god once I have to walk out the bathroom door
Am I wrong, to long for something to make me feel safe and secure
And sometimes when I lie under my covers
I cry, helplessly
Letting the tears fall down onto my lips
Wondering if it's always going to be like this
Alone for another lifetime
Cold, stranded, unable to feel the warmth of anothers love

This was great. A lot of depth and emotion in this one. I could feel it......it was literally touching me all over.....how dare it! What a fresh poem! Ugh!
Ok but anyway great job!

Like the others, I felt the emotions in this one.  It seemed very real and sincere.

"Am I wrong, to long for something to make me feel safe and secure"

This line made me stop for a bit to think. This is a very good poem!
