I wrote this a few minutes ago...my girlfriends Dad seems to be trying to stress out our relationship and it seems like he wants us to fall apart. So this is what came to mind. It's a rough draft really so I thought I'd post it and see if anyone has some ideas. Here it is: What have I done? What have I done...have I offended you somehow? Is it wrong for me to care, to love? Why can't you see what's there? Is it just a feeble attraction to you, nothing more? When will you read between the lines? Is it too hard, or will you not take the time? Why can't you see what's there is real? Is this a lie to you, a front? When will you see the truth? If so, will it be in time? Will you tear us apart, or pull us together? What have I done? "Don't take love for granted...once it's gone, it hurts." |

This was great but the situation sucks. Some fathers are very protective...and well.....some just don't like the guy their daughter is dating and will do anything to break them up......hell, i don't know what I would do.....but i'm a psycho..so we'll see in the future. Anyway...... hope you pass it pal!  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

I feel really bad for you niceguy. i haven't had this experience cuz my last bf(the most decent i guess) well his parents loved me, that's how we got back together the first time he dumped me. it's always a good feeling when ur sig other's mom gets so upset she can't talk on the phone because you and her son broke up. i'm so sorry you are not as lucky. hang in there Curly "So many tears i've cried, so much pain inside" -Lenny Kravitz |

thanx curly...your reply means a lot. Your situation sounds a lot like my ex and me when we broke up. Her mom liked me a lot and was really mad when we broke up and tried to get us back together but it didn't work cause my ex didn't want to get back together. Yeah...it's cool to have your B/F or G/F's parents like you. My G/F's Dad has had a lot of talks with me and he says that he likes me a lot and is always talking about me from what my G/F says so I can't understand what he is trying to do now. This wouldn't be so hard if this wasn't a long-distance relationship. But since it is...this makes it pretty tough. But...hopefully her dad will see that we really do care about each other soon. First off I enjoyed the poem. Secondly, I'm sorry about your situation. I think the best thing to do is just love her like you always have... try not to get to mad w/ her dad because this will prolly make things worse. He's just being protective...
