When I awake from rest,
To start another day,
You are standing there,
Always in my way.

I understand,
You are trying to help.
Trying to raise a son,
To live in this Hell.

I've found Jesus,
apparently you haven't.
I really wish you would,
But you remain stagnant.

Everything you do for me,
Defiles my beliefs
Beliefs I hold dear.
I pray this message seeps,
I hope that you care.

I've tried to stand up to you.
I've tried to get close to you.
But you just can't grasp it.
Material things,
Won't get us closer.
Just to talk to you,
My stomach would turn over.

Maybe someday,
In happiness I'll shout,
My old man's found Jesus,
He knows what I'm about.

I'll pray for you,
Day and night.
Sometimes I'll spot,
small changes in sight.
But when I start hoping,
I'm sure to be choking.
For my hopes are falling,
Can't you hear Him calling?

Please let Jesus in.
I want to be with you,
When I'm in Heaven.

I appreciate your beliefs ZAOfreak ... you appear to have a very strong faith. It is difficult to wish someone else could follow and feel the same pulls as we each individually do, but as you know, that is not always the case. Your thoughts are very nicely written in this piece.

I thought you might also be interested in reading and reviewing The Spiritual Journeys Forum if you haven't investigated it as yet. It's a wonderful gathering of members sharing their beliefs. If you click on the Main Forums choice on the upper left corner of your screen, you'll see a listing of all Forums, and it is called "Spiritual Journeys" (about the 8th choice down). Feel free to explore in there as well, and have fun!
