I wanted to extend a verse, To each of you in kind, I'd like to make it grow and grow ... Please answer each in rhyme! *** What Would I Choose I follow all your poetry, And see your hopes and dreams, Just like I wrote when I was young, And living through my teens. You bring to mind, such memories, Of twenty years ago, It sets my mind to pondering, The things in life I've known. If I could turn back hands of time, I wonder what I'd choose, What occupation, I'd have picked, If I'd had none to lose. I pumped gas at a station, And I worked a factory, I cleaned pools for a summer, Mopped up floors upon my knees. I schooled myself in nursing, Till a car crash dashed that dream, And had to re-think everything Change goals in life mid-stream. The counselor said my job stats showed An artsy kind of mind, But steered me into office work, 'Tis where I've been resigned. I run a corporation now, (So I should not complain), But still my artsy mind sneaks in, And dreams like this, remain. *I'd love to write for Hallmark, *Paint a scene in Paris, France, *I'd love to glide across the room, *In competition dance. If I had a hand in my future life I’d say “No College for me!” I would write or act for my daily meal I’d be what I want to be But expectations are set on me now And I have no choice My parents say “Med school, and nothing less” To them, I have no voice Considering my love for animals I’m going to be a Vet A type of Med school, my parents say And they sit with their thoughts, content In a perfect world, you see We could be what we want to be… Until then, I’ll work without a fight But they can’t stop me from writing at night False gems may shine as brightly as the genuine article, but there are always those who can tell the difference. |

To have this chance to be Anything in my dreams, lets see, Maybe a poet with no restrictions, Or a political analyst with all the predictions, No wait a minute I have a thought! I'll be a thief and never get caught, Wait that's not right, that would be bad, I think I'll pick a job I've never I had! I'd like to shape the public's views, Get a few "Ahhhhh's" and even some "eewww's", Yes I think I know what I will be, A journalist bringing stories to you from me. And now a non career one if you don't mind... I'd like to help out in any way, Giving back without earning pay, Volunteering to make the world succeed, Trying to change by taking the lead, Giving time to make this a better place, A comforting spot for the whole human race, This world should be full of people who care, Making sure everyone's fine by just being there. What are the dreams that live deep within And possess the chambers of my heart? Well there are quite a few you see, And here is where I'll start! I want to teach the children And spread knowledge through the world I want to raise a family And watch my doubts become unfurled. I wish to write poetry In some reclusive, quiet place I need to try and change the world Even by adding a smile to someone's face. When i think about my life What i want it to be The first that springs to mind Is visions of my boy and me Together forever and happy still With a great loving family and Looking forward to eternity Where we'll always remain hand in hand I'd also like to care for others Those with troubles and hurts Show them that I love and care For they deserve no hurts Another thing i'd like to achieve Is to finish school and my TEE I'd like to go to uni and study hard To become the vet, thats for me But if none of this happens It'll be ok still As long as i have my God Then i also have my will. My goal in life, Was once shattered, I was told it would never happen, I look today and see that ive done it, Ya i made my highschool wrestling team, I showed them, im the only freshman on the varsity team, My goal in life is to actually go somewhere in life with my poetry and im trying to find ways to publish some of them. If in life i dont succede then i will move on and try in other fields. Thanks Kit i enjoy you letting us express where we want to be in a few years  )"put the name of the person u love, not in a heart because they alway break but put it in a circle which last forever" |
