curlygurly: I know what your feel with the cancer deal as well, my aunt died from cancer, my mom's friend died as well, and everytime i turn around people are dying left and right, so here's a poem right off the tope for cancer

~My Poem For my AunT~

Seeing you all my life
Knowing you were watching my every move
Trying to over protect me in everything i do

Then one day i came home and heard you were sick
Just thinking it was a regular cold
I just ignored it
Not knowing how serious it was

We talked for months
And you were doing alright

Then my mom told me you were getting worse
I wanted to talk to you
But the tears running down my face
And the FEAR in my heart, held me back.

Till that day i didn't talk or see you
Then on May 2, 1999 my grandmother called to say you past away.

Angry with myself
I shut out the world, not letting anyone in
I stay this way for a long time

But now when i look back on it i wished i had talk to you
I wished that i could have seen you one last time
And have that feeling of just being able to say
Good Bye!

*I pray to you oh Lord, Keep my Aunt safe in your arms, I love her and always will*

This is a great tribute to your family member! I liked it very much.

Yes, very good job on this, I'm sure your Aunt appreciates your love for her.  Very good poem

awww sweet...i'm really sorry to hear about all the people in your life that past away to cancer. It really is very unfortunate and makes you think twice about what you have and the every day things in our life that we take for granted, like family. This was a very beautiful contribution to your aunt and i'm shur she knew how much you loved her...dont blame yourself for the past...shoulda coulda woulda but didnt ya know? Live in the moment because whats done is done and everything happens for a reason. I'm shur that she is looking over you...Great poem hun...But i'm very sorry...

Thank you ever so much for the up lifting words, it's been a hard 2 years on my life. Like i loved 99' and all my best friends graduated, and so did my brother but on the other hand my aunt and 4 other people i knew! so that year was very hard, and it is taking me along time to heal but i'm getting there. I guess i'm the one not to wear my emotions on my sleaves. Well anyway thank you again you've been extremely nice to me ever since i start posting i thank you. God bless

This is such a sad poem, but it's a beautiful tribute to your aunt. It always hurts to lose someone close to you. I hope writing this helped the pain some. I'll be praying for you and your family.

The very first line in here made me cry, you see i just recently lost my aunt to cancer and in the past i have lost 2 grandparents and even a dog to the terrible disease and it hurt to read this but its a terrific poem and i think ill bring mine back so you all can check it out!
