not heaven nor hell so...

I'd really like a few replies to this because it's something that I have to fight with everyday.  I don't know if I will every get the courage to tell him how I feel...I don't think that I could handle the whole "you're a great person but..." or the "it's not you it's me..." or the "I hope we can still be friends..." not from him anyway.  Isn't it ironic how everyone says these things to make the other person feel better but in a way they are only rubbing salt into the wounds...
Anywayz...I've talked too long...I hope you enjoy it and maybe he'll read this...maybe not (even if he did I'd doubt that he'd figure it was written about him.

I reach out everyday,
Offering all I have to you,
I’d gladly pay the highest price,
If you’d promise to be true.
But I won’t tell you how I feel,
I don’t have the courage you see,
And I tell myself not to think of you,
And how happy we could be.
But every time you turn away,
It tears my heart in two,
Every time you leave me alone,
The pain it feels so new.
I’ve been down this road before,
And I know it only ends in pain,
But I can’t move off the track,
So I’m destined for it yet again.
The strangest thing however is,
That there are times I’m sure you feel the same,
Those little times when I am sure,
I hear a little something when you say my name.
But those times they quickly fade,
And they seem so far away,
Could you ever be my love,
Could there ever be that day?

You know, I know the feeling "That there are times I’m sure you feel the same".  Doesn't that just bug you, that you know that they must feel it too but there has to be that little speck of doubt that maybe you're just hoping that it's that way.  Well anyway, i don't really know what to tell you about this, other than, if you feel this way than you should tell them directly because it's not going to get any easier trying to not feel it.  And this was a really good poem, it expresses these feelings so well

OMFG this was good! I can relate so well, I am going through something similar. I am seeig this guy and I THOUGHT we really had something and then yesterday he told me he is on love with his best girl friend and that if anything comes up between them, he and I have to stop seeing each other. It was so disappointing to think there was something there and then have it all WHISKED away! Good luck to you

Well this was great but courage must come out of you. I mean, either you get this guy or you don't. BUt you'd never want to live with the thought in your head "he coulda-been"....i mean the coulda-been's suck.
So i dont know.......fess up?

Hi!   ya know..dopey's right..if its  really meant to be, then you need to have the courage to tell him how you feel. trust me when i say that you'll feel SOO much better after you get that off your chest. ive been in the same position, and you win either way. because if he feels the same..then there ya go, happily ever after, and if he doesnt..then you'll know and you wont spend every hour of everyday wondering what hes feeling. so you win either way!   so go for it babe!

Hey hun! very beautiful poem, i know exactly what its like to go through something like this and its complete hell. You have mixed feelings about how they feel about you but your not shur enough to say something but not doubting it enough to give up....very messed up feeling aint it? I really hope everything works out good in the end, but overall great poem!!

Thank you all so much for the replies...this one was special to me because I ususally write poems inspired by someone else, but this one was totally me.

I don't have the courage as of yet to tell him, but I hope that I will one day.

Thanks again.

Angel~
I never had the courage to tell a guy how I felt...And sometimes I regreted it...I would wait for the guy to make a move from a fear of rejection...The guy I am with had the courage to tell me how he felt...I have been with him for almost 9 months now...And I am the happiest I have ever been...Dont pass up the chance to tell him how you feel...I mean why dont you give him this poem and just hint to him how you are feeling???

Look though alot of girls seem to be scared to tell guys how they feel...Just imagine what is on the guys mind when they try to get with her...They are taking a big chance...

Anyways good poem...

I do agree with Dopey and DancinQueen.  You have to tell him what you are feeling.  By not saying anything, seems like it's already tearing you apart.  Don't hesitate, just say it, you'll feel better afterwards.

Thanks for sharing

Hey...this poem was really good...it's exactly how I felt about a guy last year.  I was so in love with him...everything about him, things that no one else realized, I found amazing.  Anyway I gave him a letter saying how I liked him at a school dance last year...and we never went out or anything, but when he knew how I felt he was so sweet, and a really good friend.  And I know you want more than a friendship, because I did too, but I think it's a lot beter than nothing.  I hope everything works out with him.  And if it doesn't remember "he's just a guy, and there will be more."

This poem is great. This sums up how I have been feeling better than anything I have written.I feel the exact same way. I agree that you should tell him. I told the girl that I felt this for, it hasn't changed anything between us on the outside, but she knows that door is open when she's ready to walk through it. It may not happen right away, or at all, but if you do all you can then the better chance you have. I hope some of this rambling is relevant.
