on the campaign,
bad news is the same as good
hurray, Gore is ahead in our state
should I really celebrate
reelction for Senator Robb,
three cheers for all,
(but now I'm out of a job)
all of my partty's candidates get elected,
hurray,
goodbye, good luck,
and a copy of the employment section

This is good, but the only thing that's keeping me from understanding all of it is one question: why you would be "out of a job"?  Anyway, nice work, and I haven't seen you posting for a while, so it's nice to see your poems again!

Lakewalker:
thanx for welcoming me back, I had no idea I was missed.
anyway, I am a campaign worker, when the elections are over, I'm out of a job (again)

Dopey:
not too many people do pay attention to politics.

Lakewalker: maybe I was a bit hasty in saying that.
Salooma :
working for a campain, one sees a diferent side of politics. Outside of a party, the people hold their political opinions, agree with some issues of the oposing candidate, look at politicians individualy, and so on.
Inside of the party, it's and Us and Them mentality, a cold-war-like struggle, which leads both sides to play dirty(believe me they both do) third parties are viewed as heretics, it's not pretty, but it's still an interesting job
