NOTE: Im not sure if i've posted this poem up before. If not, enjoy! If so, oh well!

What Love, Oh Love?

What life hath thou to live,
And what love can thou still give?
Shall I seek deep beneath the tears
From thy woeful eye of thriving fears?

Tis the season of this undying hate.
Not a time to live but time against fate.
Yet Oh what life, and Ah sweet death.
Can thou not permit a single breath?

What love, oh love, be known so grand?
Quickly striked down with one hate hand.
Dost thou not give thy soul to me.
Giving us everlasting tranquility.

Woman of all women bless me with thy gift.
Thine smile cause my mind to forever drift.
Thine eyes of pearls glow so pure,
And my love for thee I cannot cure.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Wow....I sure missed reading some of this wonderful poetry (Hint: I've been gone.) But awesome work you have here, it's absoulutly breathtaking. She's a lucky gal whomever captured your soul and your pen. Great job.

I like this one   One way you can tell what you've posted is to go to "private library" at the top of the screen and add yourself to you "favorite poets" section.  I really like this part of the poem:

Yet Oh what life, and Ah sweet death.
Can thou not permit a single breath?
