O flower
How lonely you look
Perched silenty upon the bush
Your vibrant lavender is bright
Against the green of the leaves
How I wish I could steal you
To feel your soft petals against my skin
To save you from a frozen death
But alas-I am too late
As night descends
Life is taken from you with a harsh gust of wind
And a chilly frost
O flower
How pale you look
As you fall to the ground
Brightness faded
A frosty film appears upon your petals
And you die a lonely death.

Hey the poem was great. I liked the title and the format. HOw did you get the picture on the side there? Where exactly do i go to put that on?

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Dopey-You know I don't even remember how I got that picture there...I did it so long ago.  I think it was somewhere when I was editing my profile.  Thanks for the comments.
Lake-Thanks a lot!  It's been forever since I've written anything new...and since I've posted it.  But...I do have a lot of things on here so you should search for my name it will bring up all of my stuff.     Thanks again!

Kit-  Thank you so much!  That means a lot coming from someone who has such a high status on the totem pole of poetry.   Hehe.  Thanks again.
