I cried a tear today,
it was small and meaningful.
I recieved news today
that startled my heart.
You see I fell in love,
not too long ago.
And with this love,
I painted a picture.
My picture had flowers, and butterflies.
tall grass, and trees.
My picture was never gloomy,
but always happy, and secure.
But then one day clouds strolled in,
and rain began to fall.
And this I think is when I began to cry.
~The colors in my picture,
went from green, and pink, and blue.
To ugly, ugly black,
and gray, and then I saw you.
I saw a face of misunderstanding,
walking through the field.
I saw a face of sadness,
crouch down and kneel.
I then knew,
that I was falling hard.
And that's when,
I fell out of love.

I think it's very beautifully written, as I went on reading it, your words began to paint a picture in my head...whatelse can I say? Lost for words thats for sure but I can totally relate to it..Keep up the good work =)

Hey, WELCOME. Well, with time you will see that this isn't just a place to post, but that there is another family here for you. I mean, I'm new here but everybody makes me feel very good, we are a group of friends.

Thanks for the replies. I love writing, and althought I'm usually unsure with my writings, I post them anyway, and usually get good results! I'm only 13 and hopefully I'll get better as I go along! Thanks again!

This grabbed my attention and never let go, I loved the imagery. This poem is awesome

Well my friend, as a poet you are very very talented!! The imagery in this piece is absolutely picturesque! I know that the pain from the opposite sex can be hard, but you are only 13 and my dear, you will find many people who will also fill the void this person has caused. At the end of your poem you said you fell out of love...that's a very hard thing to do. I don't think you fell out of love...it doesn't just happen. It takes time. But I'm sure you'll do just fine. Keep your head up and be strong.

in and out of love by 13? oh my dear, my dear! neither despair nor fear, because i promise there are plenty more where that came from. and i know you've probably heard the old saying that time heals old wounds... well it doesn't. you just forget. so take heart, you'll forget.
oh, and by the by, great and descriptive writing from such a young soul. you're an artful little lady. keep up the good work.

Thank you all very much for the warm welcomes to Passions! I'm sure I will enjoy my stay here. Yes, I'm sure that my heart will fall back in love...but until then, I fell out and hard! Thank you for all the advice and best wishes!
