Sit right down and be ready,
Sharpened pencils—hold them steady,
There is more to Chem. than meets the eye!
During lunch, in cafeteria,
Bond Magnesium with Helium
You may form a major theorem
If you try!

Thanks to Father Mendeleev,
Chemists have a certain way of
Putting elements in order on a chart.
Any fool can learn and use it,
There’s no way to introduce it,
Chemistry is simply lucid,--
It’s a form of art.

Metals, metalloids and gasses,
Volumes, temperatures and masses,--
We apply them every day in life!
Take a look at your utensil,
There’s Lead within your pencil,--
(Metal, malleable, not tensile,
Density – 11.35)

Sweaty foreheads, eyes not blinking
It’s so good to see you thinking.
Aggravated, agitated, and confused!
As these formulas you’ll master,
Fields of knowledge will grow vaster,
Molecules will move much faster
When they’re fused.

Here’s the quiz, but there’s no pressure
Doyle’s Law says you can measure
Anything at all within this class!
If you know the composition,
With hard work you’ll reach precision
And with energy from fission
You will pass!

I lilked this one...it was very interesting. I must say, not something I would just up and write about...but that's what makes the best of poems, so keep it up!

Great poem Master! You sure brought back a few memories from some old chemistry classes for me. I used to write some of my homework up in rhyme to help me remember ... a few just came flooding back, well done!

Best wishes,
/Kit
