Sitting there watching me,
Unsure of what to say.
So exactly what will we be?
Can we face another day,
Together?

So innocent and so scared you are,
Though lord knows you won't admit it.
Tears hardening over features frozen.
in some form of reassurance,
That you know what your doing.

I took so much from you last night,
Innocence and reassurance.
Sure you said ok,
But maybe I should of listened to what you weren't saying.

Too lare now,
So we stay,
Each living a lie.
That all is ok.

You that you're not completely unsure,
Of this new act your completing,
Or me,
That I am completely in love with you.

So jaded and so scared,
In love with you,
But afraid to release the awful pain of the past.
Time to let go,
And see where this journey of life takes me.

Hmm, for the sake of fairness I’ll pretend I don’t know what you were talking about…hehe…
Yeah, that has a way of screwing things up…literally.
Well, I wish you the best of luck on the path of life…remember that the destination is irrelevant, only the time spent to reach it matters…

Sounds like you are kinda confused...But I could be wrong!!!

Sounds like you opened up your heart and now you are scared to let it lead you to someone that could make you happy...Or to somewhere that you may get hurt...

These are only my opinions so dont take them to the heart!!!

Good job!!!

Guys --
Yes, I am talking exactly about what you think I'm talking about. I don't know, I got so hurt in the past, as most of you can tell from my previous poems. B/c I know the pain that will occur in the end, I am so afraid to try it again. Even though this guy just might be worth it.

Crystalina, although you have been through much pain do not think that you are alone. Do not think that you can't move on. You know that in the end all will mend and you will be able to say I LOVE YOU again to another man and fully accept him into your heart. Do not be afraid when that man openly accepts you into his. I mean, don't let your soul mate turn into a coulda-been. "Oh he coulda-been my husband" "we coulda-been in love".......soooooo there's my 2 cents of knowledge.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Chrystalina, long time no see.  Anyway, great poem and it seems that I become a total neandrathol when I find myself in a similar situation.  But Dopey couldn't be more right in my estimation.  Sooooo mannny tiiimes have I thought about the past an all of the coulda, woulda, shoulda's that exhist there.  But the past is the past so act now and do what your heart tells you to do.  And if he's scared, comfort him.  And if he's confused, reasure him.  Don't worry you'll figure it out.  Show him that your not afraid to love, and he'll love you for it.
