The Dial-up Let downs

If I could peer into her eyes,
I’d see that look of uncertainty,
Of not really wanting to die,
But not really wanting to continue,
Living this lie,

Why she walked slowly,
Across a big floor,
And she thought,
“There’s really nothing here,
That wasn’t here before”,

And for one fleeting moment,
She said “I think I’m happy.”
“But I’m sure it’ll pass”.

It’s all in the fact,
That nothing good, ever lasts,
And you can’t fight demons that don’t die,
Or the moment the asphalt hits the glass,

With so many things in her past,
It gets so hard to avoid the broken glass,
With every step of the way,
She thinks maybe getting cut,
Would take all her pain away,

I tell her it be a waste,
Yeah, such a disgrace,
So much of life she has to taste,
So many things to face,

I can’t make,
Her displeasures erased,
Too solemn my disgrace,
But help,
Cause I’m getting incased,
In her frozen tears,
Drifting slowly through cyberspace.

Deranger: love the poem.

Don't wander throught this glassy surface, expecting to find more than me, because what I am without a purpose, but a lone mirage to see.

Oh my goodness! I love all poetry, but it takes a lot to really move me and this, my friend, moved me almost to tears...it is soo beautiful! Out of everything I've read here at the forum in the past several months, this is easily in my top 5. You have an AMAZING way with words and expression. I absolutely love it!
KEEP WRITING! It would be a crime if you ever stop!

StarPryncess17:  Aww…shucks …No, it’s not my story…And I’ll keep writing until the day they finally lock me up!

Child of the Stars:  Sorry, didn’t mean to make you cry…And you don’t have to say anything.   Silence is beauty.

ERIN: Hey, it’s not an addiction, it’s an augmentation! Hehe…

Crystalina123: Why thank you, I strive to amaze…hehe

Dopey_Dope: Well, I’m just one of those “nice guys”…shame we finish last?  But at least we can feel good about it…

Allysa:

Kandi:  I’m shocked!  Ouch.  The top five?  Wow.  And don’t worry, I won’t get arrested for that crime…hehe
