In jet-black skies, in darkest night, no single light to see In the quiet solitude of my basement Where three in the morning finds me My two black dogs, like ghostly shadows, by me they abide As the peaceful winds of Dream, and Sleep Sweep them slowly to their dream ride. My mind is numb, my eyes are dull, my thoughts now start to drift deep as mind, and body, and soul Give in to the tempting notion of sleep. I fight the urge to nod off; to let my dreams free to roam Because im worried at three-thirty in the morning Waiting for my folks to come home. < !signature--> -"There is an exception to EVERY rule, even THIS one." grEAt poem!! I dunno, suddenly a song came up in my head, from a band called Within Temptation (dunno if you've ever heard of them, they're from Holland *YEHA!!!!!*) the only problem is that I can't seem to remember the title.... Well since we're comparing bands here, i think this is written like the smashing pumpkins. Billy Corgans style is kinda like this. I like your style though, its wonderful. I write like this too at times. Keep it up, i love these kind of poems.  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

Personally, i dont keep up with bands (or listen to the radio for that matter), but i can still name a few drummers, and singers here and there though. But hey, thanx for the comparisons both of you. : ) |

!!!~~~I am thinking that this is a poem where you are worried about where your parents are???(sorry if I am wrong Im just guessing)...But if thats what it is I understand what you are saying...Keep up the good work... p.s.~~~Dont know what band I would refer to this as...Im not into all that band music... ~*If I was to die & could be 1 thing I would be a tear born in your eyes live on your cheeks and die on your lips*~ |
