Step on board to feel the sun
there's something inside that'll make you run
sing your freedom song in a stir
the hypnotic waves will add to the lure

Like the child that is sugarless
forgotten bliss will rise into a hiss
we can walk upon the precious water
loud cheers and experience will be the coming of the daughter

the ocean floats outside of time
step to the boat to block out the whine
the ocean sings of tragic falls
step on the boat and you'll learn why we called

Our Mother has made her final entrance
dressed with stars and always tent-less
eccentric wind blows through our minds
pebbles are dropped for the first time

the sails are a sailing and we're ready to blow
this night of mystery has but one length to go
one night that would break off from previous death
leaves you with bliss and a loss of your breath

the ocean floats in other worlds
this is my boat that can give you pearls
the ocean sleeps in serenity
we should rest to fore now we are free

Now night arrives with her purple legions
Retire now to your tents & to your dreams
Tomorrow we enter the town of my birth
I want to be ready. - JM

I like this. Very good choice of words. I read somewhere that you're a ninth grader??? Do you ever feel like me, really young??? Well, I was just wondering. B/c most of the ppl's poems I read are in like college, or somethin. Well, I'm gonna shut up now. Bye. Allysa

A very well worded post! As always, I enjoyed reading!
Your words show an excellent personaltiy and imagination.
I know for a fact, I could never write as well as you do
I admire that, so keep it up!

this might be the first time a moderator took a look!!....maybe anyway...thakn you all for responding and liking the poem...and allysa i am in ninth grade..heh but i don't feel to young..it also helps that i look 3 or 4 years older than i am..but we are all here to write so don't feel young...we're equals around here..

I'm no equal! haha. OK anyway anomaly, you know i loved this. This sounds like something i'd write. I think you are slowly copying my style mentally, either that or im copying yours. Either way, i think its cool. I loved it, great poem!
