Remember all we had?
Lying together,
Holding each other,
While my pretty pony took a walk.
My pony's still walking,
But we're not holding each other any more.
You gave to me the gift of life,
You gave me so much to live for.
Our lives have moved apart now,
Only a tiny, gaping chasm.
I teeter on the edge, reaching towards you,
But ever fearful of falling into obsession.
I think I have a hold on you,
I'd try to use it to close our canyon
But if my hold is imaginary,
I'll fall.

The way I read this, you must have been having some pretty deep thoughts and you've put them into words very well.  Nice poem.

Beautiful poem....I can relate to this so very well that it almost brings me to tears...and I love it when a poem has that kind of power in it.   Thank you.

in my flesh and makes
my bones ache
