Struggling with my answers found,
I pick my feet up off the ground,
Fighting to accept the truth,

The effect of reality creates madness,
Not overcome by the sense of sadness,
Fighting to accept the truth,

The blood covering my sinful hands,
And no one will truly understand,
Fighting to accept the truth,

The knife falls silently on the floor,
As I reach trembling for the door,
Fighting to accept the truth,

He tried to hurt me one more time,
I told him I would commit this crime,
Fighting to accept the truth,

The abuse lost and pushed aside,
I run fast and scared to try and hide,
And fight with myself to accept the truth.
