The smile you gave me in the hall.
The things you said on the phone.
That look you had like you knew it all.
The way you acted when we were alone.
It's just the way that you were.
How you came to all my games to watch me.
How you encouraged me to keep trying.
How I wore your ring for everyone to see.
How you couldn't keep me from crying.
It's just the way that you were.
How convincing you were with what you would say.
And how you'd decide I was better just a friend.
The way you walked off after you turned away.
And you made me realize it wouldn't happen again.
It's just the way that you were.

***This was written for a guy that i really liked alot.. And he played me like a deck of cards.. We got hooked up and broke up 6 times in 5 months!! Then I got smart and never went back to him..***

I really loved this poem, it was awesome.  The repetition works great and it flows good. And it's great that you stopped letting him treat you like that

"my love is my motivation
my love is my inspiration
perception of this poem
is your interpretation"
