The Deserts Ruby

As the desert sands slips through my hand
I wonder what I’m doing here
I left it all for this homeless land
Whirlwinds of dust is all I can hear

I’m seeking truth and a caravan of fire
I wished I was the only one alive
The deserts ruby of beauty and desire
The ship of the worlds that I ride

Since I travelled so far into this place
I cannot wait to see your precious face
Touch your tears with my love
I hold your fear, it’s never enough

I raise my blade and face all death
The blackened clouds fill the sky
The monster is trapped since we met
One thing is sure, I will die

A storm enlights this furious rage
Frightens the people of this town
My fear is now locked in a cage
Nothing to think about just take it down

Dune by dune I wander through
the wasteland of my life
Nothing grows, no more youth
Only the chilling cold of the night

Illusions just make me ill
And now I’ll lose it all
A mirror is closed by my fathers will
Nothing left to fight, I’ll just fall

I see the blood through the though
Finally I’m able to see
Holding the one who  I love
Here it ends, but I begin, I am free....

Since I travelled so far into this place
I cannot wait to see your precious face
Touch your tears with my love
I hold your fear, it’s never enough

Lone Insomniac: This is the kind of piece that I look forward to reading after a long period of no poetry.
The whole theme of the poem was deep and I particulary liked this verse:
"I see the blood through the though
Finally I’m able to see
Holding the one who  I love
Here it ends, but I begin, I am free...."
I found it really interesting in that you are finally seeing into the distance and you are becoming free from the terror that has got you trapped.

Great writing. Something to be proud of.
