Sonnet #2
I know not what this world has now become.
Life too cruel and unkind to figure out.
Days too short, but too long to overcome.
Love too wounding and causes too much doubt.
Hearts too full of hatred, greed, and desire.
Pain too many times attained from life’s hate.
Happiness too brief for man to admire.
Sorrow too much in an unending state.

So now dear world where do I sadly turn,
When you have played with souls a ruthless game.
Should let my injured heart stir and churn?
Or will this wild foolish brain go insane?
Call away the fate of concluding doom,
And bring back one loving day to consume.

This is a wonderful sonnet, my friend, dispite of the sad subject. I hope writing this helped your sadness some. Just remember: "To the world you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world".
