When I first came to the site, they had a long post going where everyone wrote a brief thing about themselves just so we get to know each other...so I thought it'd be nice to start another since there are many new faces. (I hope they don't delete this since there isn't a poem!) Anyways...I'm Salma...15 from Wisconsin -> the cheese state up north! I'm actually Egyptian was born in Alexandria, EG and came here when I was 7. So I started writing and haven't yet stopped....I don't think I'm that great cause I can't think of them right off the top of my head like most people do, it takes a bunch of time! hhmm..Hey I'm Robin..and uhm...male and uhmm... well...uhmm..I'm 16.. live in Holland !!! it sux over there but anywayz... I have a lot of different hobbies...I used to write poems but I also sing in a band since half a year so I now use poems often as lyrics for songs !!! I also play guitar and have a little business running with music...and uhm..music is my life to be honest... I don't like love poems that much except when they are brought in a different way...I just like to write stuff where U can really think about...uhmm... Lurdburger = Andy Lawson, 16 yrs old, lives in the UK, spends time reading, playing guitar and talking to peeps, 'cos that's a lot of fun, so many inspiring ppl I know... Only started writing poetry recently (split up with my girlfriend, but we had the best conversation we'd ever had afterwards, really deep and thought-provoking, got to know each other better and stuff, she told me to become a writer, so I gave it a try ), and just kinda writes it down as it comes, and I usually decide that I don't like it about 30mins after I write it, heh. Hey kids! Well I know you've ALL been wondering who I am, and what in the sha-bang is wrong with me, soooo here goes: I'm Meredith. I live in Texas, southeast Texas to be exact, about an hour inland from the coast and the beautiful murky brown water of the Gulf of Mexico. It's hot as a mug down here, and this summer is killing me! Well, I'm 17 years old, a senior in school this coming up year. I'm kind of on the skinny/pale side. My hair is originally boring brown, so I've died it red to spice up my appearance. I'm the singer for a local band down here called Valet Parking. I love music, I live for music, I would die for music if it wouldn't be a pointless death. Especially grunge, punk, ska, a bit of metal, the whole 'alternative' section. I also love being funny and being gross. I love watching SNL, Whose Line is it Anyway? and Conan O'Brian. And oh yeah, poetry rocks! Everyone should write, it soothes the mind. I love people, I love all of you, I love mint chocolate chip ice cream. What more is there to say? Peace and rock 'n' roll, my friends. Let’s see here, my name is Crystal and I am originally from Battle Creek Michigan. Land of the hot summers, freezing winters and not much else. Ok seriously, I am seventeen, almost 18 (in October). I leave for college on the 20th of August. I’m going to go to Central Michigan University, if anyone’s heard of that. I love to read, and I’m a sucker for fashion magazines. I know it’s dumb, but we get them free at work and Allure, Mademoiselle and Cosmo always come out on the same day!! I love English, history, math and science. I plan to major in civil engineering at college. Let’s see here, I like hanging out with my friends, shopping, movies and playing on the playground. Hello! My name is Heather, and I'm an 18 year old female from Mequon, Wisconsin... I am not a poet, by any means, but every now and then I get in this mood... I get on "a kick" and I have to write poetry and share it with others... I dunno. I love to read poetry, however. It warms my soul. Anyhoo, this fall I'll be going to college to study music education. Currently, I'm single, although I am falling fast for my best friend Andre. In all, I guess you could say my heart is committed, as is his, but we don't want to get into a relationship before i leave for school... I am very involved in singing, drama, reading, writing (mainly news article type things), and spending time with my friends and with God. In the future, I'd like to be a missionary... My biggest struggle in life is being lonely, which is where a lot of my "poetic thoughts" come from... Thanks for this forum, guys... it brightens my life.. |

Alright, alright...I suppose I could climb out of my cave for just a few minutes. My name...if you have yet to notice...is Jeremy. I'm 20 years old and I'm a Gemini. I dwell in Morris, Illinois. My fav color is green, my fav band is Savage Garden....then there's always Garth Brooks and pop music, but let's not go there right now. I used to love writing, but I'm battling through my little phase right now...I'll get it back. The only thing I can stand to read is poetry and songs (which I enjoy very much. I love to sing and especially listen to music....it kind of owns me, I guess. Salooma -- Yup, that would be the Battle Creek. Actually I work at Kelloggs. That is until next Friday when I leave for school. I actually work in the department that comes up with all of the ideas for Nutri-Grain, Rice Krispie Treats, Poptarts and Eggo. For example the Peanut Butter Chocolate Rice Krispie treat? My name is Allysa. I am thirteen and I have been writing since the third grade. I live in Dayton, Ohio, by Wright Patterson Airforce Base and I go to school a half an hour away. I love Eminem and Dr. Dre, and also pop music and Metallica, and basically everything. I play volleyball and softball and I've played soccer and done cheerleading. Well hello again! My name is Vreni, I'm a 16 year old lil chicky living in New York. You'll probably see me in this forum intermittently - I'm a busy girl, and my time to write poetry and respond to others is now severely limited. :.( . But in any event, I will be a freshman at the University of Rochester this fall, studying neuroscience. Mmm...what do I do w/ my time to keep me away from here? Well, I work every night in the local emergency room, am very involved w/ my community (Habitat for humanity, animal shelter blahblahblah), am an intern w/ my local government, and am quite preoccupied keeping my head above water academically. lol. At the very moment, my time is occupied w/ a water quality study and organizing Make A Difference Day for 5 counties. (How on EARTH do I get saddled w/ these things? lol) I fence competitively, race downhill (skiing), swing dance and tango, and my new hobby - SKYDIVING. :.) I possess dual citizenship (Switzerland), so travelling is a passion (and a necessity to see my relatives) too - China, Mexico, S. America, all over Europe, Hawaii, soon to Thailand..the list goes on...blahblahblah I"ll shut up about that now. In any event, music is a big thing for me - I've taken piano for 10 years and French Horn for 8 or so - classically trained. Mmm, final note....my hair is purple. (just b/c everyone else says what color their hair is and I didn't want to feel left out.... lol) Really, it honestly is. I fancy it, indeed. Well, let's see. My name is Justine Parsons.. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana I'm 17 and will be a senior this year. I've been writing since about 7th grade, but lately the creative juices don't flow as heavily or as easily as they used to. I used to be super-depressed and play guitar in a "band" that I had... so our way to express ourselves was to create song lyrics that were really poems. I have brown hair, bluish green eyes and am of average height/weight (about 5'5" and 140 pounds). I LOVE music (especially acoustic guitars {alternative music}) I like reading poetry (more than I write), eating out, helping others in their times of need, and I occupy time by trying to stay sane. I started writing poetry a couple of months ago because of Chel. My real name is Maxx. I took the pen name Jose Marti after the father of my country, Jose Marti, a famous poet at the end of the 19th century. he died fighting for Cuba's independence. He was shot while being "arerested" by Spanish soldiers. |

I don't like my name so ain't saying nothing about that. I'm from Illinois though, Chicago anyone? I see a lot of people from the midwest in here. I love poetry. All the poems I've posted in passions is about 1 girl only (Erica). The only girl in my life I've ever said "I love you" to. We're not together anymore...but I still pray for the future, though I feel like God has abandoned me as my friends have. Erica W-----, if you're reading this, "I Love You So Much". I hurt with every thought that we're not together, "I Love You". I love music too, hip hop, r&b, pop, no country and no rock bands(alternative including). I love going to concerts too. This rocks!!! So nice to get to know all of you! My full name is Thomas Anthony Plemmons, born in Peoria, IL, raised mostly in Germany, the son of a Baptist missionary. I now make my domicile in Morris, IL, a couple of blocks from Jeremy Halstead. I am 21 and am married to Kristal Lee (BabyGirl1), whom I love very much. I also love my 9 mo. old daughter Aleksis Nicole Plemmons, who is a constant joy to us. I love to sing and would hope to have a career in music someday. I would like to thank Kit and crystalina123 for their support and help. I also write songs when I'm not writng poetry, maybe you'll see some more of them posted. If I do post them, audio recordings will be available via e-mail. Jacman is one of my good friends and we have written alot of material together. My style has changed a little since I was last on, hope you all don't mind. I love all of you, you are such an inspiration, as I said in my 100th post. For those of you that are new and haven't read it, check it out, it's a tribute to you too. By the way, I'm 5'10", 165 lbs., brown hair, brown eyes, and have had my tongue pierced for about 3 yrs. now (just to give you an idea of my craaazee side). I've also been told by alot of people that I sound like Darren Hayes from Savage Garden, and Justin from 'N Sync,don't know if it's true, but that's what I've been told. I love all the arts, and I love the expression that one is able to convey in their work, whether it be in a sclupture, in a play, or in a poem. I am a musician, I guess you can say. I have been playing the violin and piano for a large part of my life. I also enjoy sports, and am a member of a very successful crew in Massachusetts. I also enjoy polo, but my game is pathetic. People also say i look like the girl from AQUA but i think thats only because her and i have pretty simalar personalities?!?! In my spare time im always wrting poems even if i dont put them down on paper they are alwyas in my head, i love any type of music,partying with my friends and chillin with my man. in the winter im in curling (typical canaidian eh?) i also love the beach! umm i dont know what else to say!? Well since I've received so many jokes from everyone who knows me well in here (which is most of you) I felt obligated to reply. ok well I am 16. I reside in Colorado...but I love it so it's cool! Umm...let's see, I love to sing (second in state solos) and I model too. I'm going to NY in 2 months for a shoot with Seventeen Magazine...we'll see what happens. I'm excited though. I also love camping and of course writing. I play Volleyball and Basketball. I'm about 5'4 and 95lbs. I hate to read anything but poetry...my attention span is very short! For those of you who don't know me as well as others...I've had every type of problem you can think of. My dad left me for his girlfriend, I've dealt with Anorexia, suicide, deaths, and plenty of other heart wrenching things. But...If I could go back, I wouldn't take any of it back! I've learned sooo much! I do have regrets though. hmm...what else? for now I guess that's it...anything else I think of...I'll get back to you. and a message for everyone: thank you for all being my little circle of friends that inspire and mold my creativity! I began writing when I was in 5th grade... and I was assigned a short story and I spent A LOT of effort on it, I'm pretty sure my teacher saved it... I am in theatre class at school, and I used to take modern-dance.(Anything to express me-self...) I'm really short... depressingly so... Hey there... uh about me.... My name's Laura Lee Parry, aka the SweetestB (i haven't been called that much since i got married but hey!) and the RockAngel. I am 19 and live in London England with my husband and our child Emily Ann. (read "being a mother" if u wanna find out more). I've been writing poetry since my father taught me how to hold a pencil. My mother still has my early poems tacked to our fridge! I like living in London, I'm a dance teacher in the nights and cos I want Emily to grow up with me, I take her to the studio and let one of the girls who's hurt her foot look after her. During the day my Mum looks after her and I go to University to study Dance and Art. I had a little sister and a dad once upon a time. Both died, my sis in a hit and run and my dad in a plane crash. I dedicate a lot of stuff to them. I love teaching and I love my life. It's changed so much since I came here almost 2 years ago reading other peoples poems, too scared to submit mine. I like Rock music like Green Day and Blink 182, long hot baths and being with my little girl. hey y'all. It's Laura lee Parry here. Aka, thesweetestB (taken from maiden name=not used much now) and the dark angel. Let's see I'm 19, live in London England with my husband Ben and our little girl Emily Ann. We've been together for 5 years and a lot of inspiration for my poetry and writing come from him. I used to live in a happy family with a mom a Dad and a Sister Emily. Emily died when she was 12 in a hit and run. The driver has never been caught. Then 3 yrs later my Dad died in a plane crash. I got mom a dog for her 40th and she's treating it like a daughter. She looks after Emily Ann when I'm at Universtiy during the day, and I take over in the night when I work as a dance teacher. I want her to spend as much time with me while she's growing up as she can, so i bring her to classes with me and one of the girls with a hurt foot looks after her. I like all kinds of things, Blink182, Green Day, The Rolling Stones and the sex pistols, being around my husband and my daughter and talking to my dad and my sister (thier graves are next to each other in the graveyard opposite the school me and her both went to). Alright, I suppose it's my turn, huh? Well, as some of you may already know, my name is Sarah, I'm 16, and I live in ol' snowy Michigan (il fait froid!). Let's see... I've been writing for about 2 years now. I love it. Before I used to just bottle everything up until I went crazy... now, I just write and still go crazy! One poem of mine is getting published sometime in early '01.. and another - my first ever from a loooong time ago - has also been published.. you can read it later. Besides writing, there are three other things I love: God, music (esp. bsb, matchbox20, creed), and of course my friends/dad who always get upset because i'll never share any of my poetry with them... *hehe* OK, ok, I'm in a good mood so i could really go on forever.. but i'll save ya'll and end it here.
