My very best friend died in a car accident just this summer two months ago. i just wanted to tell you...the reader to never EVER take you friends for granted and just assume that they will always be there. and if there is someone who has touched your life tell them before it might be too late. cherish them and hold on to them tight because you never know what the future holds

I can remember sitting in English class just last year
I can remember sneaking that cigarette in jr. high almost hoping our friends would catch us.
I can even remember going across the monkey bars together feeling so big.
I don’t know why you had to leave me.
Why you left so suddenly.
Or even why I never got to say good-bye.
All I know is that you are not here with me now.
And that hurts me so bad.
If I could only see your face one last time.
I would wrap my arms around you and never let you go from the shelter of my love.
If you only knew the impact you made on my life.
And the way you touched my heart in so many ways.
But I have had to come to the harsh reality
That I will never be able to tell you that I loved your smile.
And that your laugh would bring me such joy.
That you will never see me walk down the aisle.
Or be there when my first baby is born.
We will never have another night where we could just talk for hours.
And cry about how life just doesn't seem fair.
We will never have another day when pajamas are just too comfortable to get out of.
Or never had the time to spend hours on our hair.
you made life so much fun and seem worthwhile
and everyday I think about how
I never got to tell you that I really loved your smile.

I am sorry to hear about your friend.  I had a friend that was killed in a car accident too.  I even wrote a poem about it.  I was sad as well.  There were things that I wish I could have told her, but I never got the chance.  I do believe that you should tell your friends how much you love them because you might not have another chance.  I love the poem.  Keep up the good work.

Hi~ i'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I had 2 friends die in a span of one week this summer. One was killed in a car accident and i was also a passenger. He was the only one who died. ITs so hard to go on and think about the things you never told them. But you can still tell them..because they are in heaven watching you =)

First of all, it's amazing you can write about someone who was very close to you like this only a little while after the loss.  Keep strong.  The poem itself definitely gives the reader the view of what this person meant to you.  I know the pain of losing that very special friend, and even though I lost my friend only... 4 or 5 years ago, I cannot write about him.

I'm so sorry for your loss Katy.  I find that writing out my feelings in times like this helps so much, and you've expressed yourself beautifully in this tribute to your friend. Such a wise message, to remember that we need to appreciate each and every day with our loved ones. Nicely penned Katey.

Best wishes and prayers,
/Kit

I am so sorry for your loss. I, too have lost those that meant everything to me. I have never taken anyone for granted again. Just remember the good times and they will be with you forever!

Just keep saying how you feel for your friend's listening.  It seems to me too that in you he/she is still alive.  You still have his'her memories in you.  Don't forget that.  Sorry to hear what you're going thru
