She walks alone, amidst the tear filled sky And continues to ask her self over and over "why?" Just friends? how could that be? she loved him She never should've fallen in love on such a whim Her heart now bleeding as she walked along a bleeding path A path she had vowed never to return after the last aftermath Walking and walking lost with out a light And her dying soul twisting and tossing in the night She had been warned of his player ways But the time the spent together went on for endless days He'd smile at her with such sincerity and compassion She should've known it was his way; his fashion Like the clothes he wore, it seemed to be a task A task to make her believe the face he wore; his mask He treated her so right in so many ways Little did she know, all she was, was a phase He took her heart and molded it into what would be This lost girl that you'll soon find to be~me I let myself fall in love and I got hurt He took my heart and dragged it through the dirt So now, months passed, I'm better now And to myself made a new and improved vow A warning to the boys, don't fall in love with me I got hurt before and it's not going to happen again, don't you see? You can try and get me top change and be with you But I'll tell you right now that there is nothing you can do I'm not commiting again, for all that comes is pain And the relationships past, so mundane And all relationships that seem to start so grand Tend to turn out rather bland My heart, is now a very locked door To be closed for good-forevermore You can try and ask if I'll give you a chance But all I'll do is make your little heart dance. ~*~For those of you who don't me very well, I have been in love twice in my life. on both occasions, I was in the end, the one who got hurt. I turned to anorexia to control the problems in my life. (especially my modelling career) and still have that problem. But, I will never get hurt again. I totally agree with the "relationships suck!" idea... I've found many a jerk.... even not-so jerky ones that in the end can't do a damn thing for you. I've only had a few relationships... but the ones I've had felt like 6 months compressed into a short period of time. I may not have been in love(I have a shield that protects me from such nonsense) But I understand heartache and relationship stress. Good luck to you, maybe around the time you open your heart...I'll see what's so great about this 'love' thing. |

Jess~ You are a great person. You are strong and believe me guys can take your heart and drag it across the ground, but not every guy is the same. There are definitly more than two guys in the world that can possibly make you feel happy. Just keep your head up and keep looking. I am not telling you to jump right into a relationship because you have to do that for yourself. Just keep this all in mind. I hope that if you ever need to talk to someone you would. After my last episode I said never. (hence the title of my last post never.) I find myself falling again and I am scared to death. But I refuse to ask myself in the future, what if? This was a really sad poem. it was really good, but i was almost in tears with it. i've been in love once and god do i know it hurts when it's over, but just think about how good it felt. and someday you'll fall in love again and this time for real and that grand feeling at the beginning will stay with you forever. great work. i'll be reading more of it hopefully. all of us face this sometimes and it's very hard to deal with i just hope that you will be ok. and there are a few good men out there just don't rush yourself. and sorry i did not get the warning fast enough cause i already love you for what you write. enjoyed this one much. I read this and I couldn't stop crying! I have been through that so many times. I feel the same way. I am not going to give you advice, but do what will make you happy. The female heart can only take so much pain before it breaks completely and there is great difficulty in piecing it back together. I look forward to more writing from you. Jess -- I date a guy once and fell completely head over heels in love. We broke up and I thought I was going to die. You're right, love hurts. And in the end it sucks. But while you're in love it's the most wonderful feelign in the world. It reminds me alot of heroin addicts: They would sell there soul for that wonderul high and when they go through with withdrawl they would rtather die than deal with the pain. Intesting though how so many of them simply return back to the drugs. Or in this case love. Think about it, there are plenty of "Love Junies" out there who as soon as they break up iwth someone must hook up with someone else in order to experience that feeling of euphoria. I think your stance is good right now, but I feel very sorry for you if that's the stance you choose to keep forever. You'll turn into a very sad old woman . . . But nothing I can say will change your mind. I like this poem though. Keep your chin up girl!! Crystal When a door closes, another door of oppurtunity opens. Jessica, Love your poems always, but.......I think you're being unfair to yourself more than to any other guy that comes after these tragedy in your life. You can't say "forevermore", that's too strong of a word to say...at least i think that. One day the right guy is gonna come and go just because you wouldn 't open yourself up again. And who ends up the looser in that situation? Just think about it |
