Trickery and deceit,
Love and passion,
Sorrow and pain,
Switching from light to dark,
That's just your Principle of Exhaustion.

Count the days remaining on pleasant,
For soon callousness takes over,
Rough and dry replaces sweet and smooth,
That's your law of love,
That's just your Principle of Exhaustion.

Touch me quick, before you don't feel the need to,
Smile sweetly,then remember to scowl,
Leave me alone and stranded,
Coping with unjust confusion,
That's just your Principle of Exhaustion.

Jenn,
Wow! Love's burn-outs- you share a sad dose of reality. I hope it goes better the next time!   Dean
