When you rose to power,
the masses supported you.
nobody cared about your ascention,
a coup and a murder,
both illegal and unconstitutional.

Now you plague the people,
The very ones who supported you.
Everyday, people are
dragged out to the street,
and shot.

Every night, people disapear,
and so,
the voices of dissent are silenced.

Like all of your victims,
your day will come.
On international trial,
crimes against humanity.
An execution will follow.

A cheer will go up from the masses,
and at the funeral,
I'll be there,
among those gathered to spit on your grave.

Wow~! This is an excellent poem. Your raw emotion shows through. Its a shame that the world has been divided by dictatorship over the years. Your poem explains the emotion in it all. KEep up the good work

thank you for reading my poem. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I got the idea reading Issabel Allende's book House of Spirits.
In real life however Pinochet got off scott free

~Salooma, Driven thank you for reading
~Capitan: no I'm Cuban, odly enough, a lot of Chileans, still support Pinochet, although most other Latinos would rather see him shot.
