This is a poem I wrote to my Uncle who passed on September 26,1999!  RIP

                    Memory

Sometimes I wonder what went wrong,
One day you're here and now you're gone

I remember the good times when I was happy and glad,
But now with you out of my life, I'm terribly sad

You've left a loving family and handsome son behind,
I can only tell you the thoughts that run through my mind

I'm often depressed and feeling 'blue',
The words that I write are painful but true

Going through life without a loving uncle who's there,
It's like an unprotected child, who's cold and scared

If I could go back to every moment we shared,
I'd bottle it up because I deeply care

Knowing that you're gone, I wonder a bit,
Acknowledging death maybe near, I look forward to it

Knowing that you'll be there with wide and opened arms, to guide and protect me from danger and harm

Although I wasn't there that morning in the cemetery,
I want you to know, you'll always be a 'Memory'
