I let Jeremy Halstead borrow my book of poetry for a weekend and when he gave it back he had written a poem in there for me.  It is one of my most treasured items and a great honor.  Thomas did the same thing but he has since posted it.  I just wanted to share with you what a great friend Jeremy is by his own words.  Enjoy!!!

I...I am inspired.

I want to write something.
I want to take this wand in my hand
and create magic.
I feel inspired.
Inspired like an artist of any kind
by another.
By a writer.
A close soul to my heart-
whose art is words.
By a singer
whose voice is the pen or the brush
that lives.
By a painter.
Colors of variety and formation unmatched
untill art shall end.
I...I am inspired.

By Jeremy David Halstead

Its truly a blessing to have good friends. in my opinion, you should hang on to your friends, because besides yourself, they are all one truly "has" in life.
(You can lose alot of things in life, just make sure friends arent one of them). Good writing, and great job.

I too am inspired ... both by the incredible depth in the words, and by the wonderful friendship that must have inspired them. Bravo to you both!

Best wishes,
/Kit

I really like this poem. It's wonderful to have friends like Jeremy (though I must say he's not so good at returning E-mail). It's wonderful to have friends tell you how much you mean, and I think it's great that Jeremy used his gift to show this.

Awesome poem. That's all I can say at this point, I'm still in shock!

You guys have a great friendship and if I lived close to you guys...umm...I'd become the fourth musketeer or something. lol. Keep writing; BOTH OF YOU! hope to see you soon. hey and the time until my 18th birthday continues to grow closer...your problems will then be relieved!! hehehe   Love ya kid!!
