Concentrating on the new life I've built.
Wishing for less pain.
Diversions and temptations cloud my thoughts.
Does it mean anything to them?

I try to build a wall around my past and step up to the present,
My love is fading...My determination faltering.
Concentration is key,
Yet I wander in my convictions.

Life altering roughness,
Save face quickly,
Was it ever really worth it?
Am I ever really noticed?

Hey there, I know what you are talking about.  I can't judge people by what they look like on the outside, you just have to get to know them.  Very strong poem, and I liked it.  Keep up the good work.

Jenn- this is a great poem.  I got the same feeling out of it as acire, wondering what you've done or think you've done.  Anyway, I like this
