Ok everyone, this isn't about me.  I wrote this while i was talking to one of my friends.  He's going through a really tough time right now and I don't know how to help him.  I would really really appreciate it if you could give me any advice.  Thanks!
Bel

Please
Don’t hate yourself
You don’t realize what you are
You overlook what everyone sees
You don’t realize what you mean

Don’t let the girls get you down
It’s not worth it
I hate to see you frown
I wish they’d just quit

I know it’s hard
I wish there was something I could do
I but I really don’t know
How I can help you

We have something in common
You and I
We don’t like something about ourselves
And we don’t lie

I wish there was something I could do
But I know I can’t
As much as I want to
I know it’s up to you

I think I’m too fat
You think you’re too thin
And just like me
You don’t see the beauty within

This too shall pass
I know it doesn’t seem like it now
But I promise it will
Though I don’t know how

Until then
You know I’ll be there
Until then
Just know I care

I dont mean to sound rude, but i think the only way to solve that situation, is for that person to realize for his or herself that he is a better person than who he or she thinks.
I mean, you can talk and talk, and talk, but its really up to them to listen, and see for themself.

I've known plenty of ppl like this.  Infact I've felt this way once or twice.  the only thing you can do is smile and be happy for evey thing that you have.  Life is to short to worry what others think.  you need to just be this persons friend.  give him your heart and hope he does the same to you.  the easiest way to make a person smile again is to let him know that somebody cares.
It's a tough situation but is not as hard to overcome w/ the right mind set

Nice message.  Without having friends like you, people don't have anything at all.  Just make sure your friend alwys feels this loved and he should be okay.

Chill out man, just remembe that there are plenty of fish in the sea.
If fact, you might even say that they outnumber us.
On top of that, If you're really having trouble, just remeber, nine times out of ten, the real problem is in the verbal skills. I can't say too much more about this without getting explicit, but you can e-mail me about it if you want.

you know nowdays for some reason girls still go for the looks...i dont know why either...i dont love my boyfriend cuz of his looks...i love him for the rest of him...how he treats me, how he cares about me...not because he got a nice body or money like some girls are out for...

Great poem.  I don't know how old you or your friend are, but I think that the older the girl or guy, the more they look for in a mate.  Looks are just a bonus....it's what's inside.  Let your friend know how you feel, and always be there for him.  He'll love you for that.

This was a wonderful poem for you to write about your friend.  Unfortunatly, the situation is not so great.  Your friend just needs some time to find out who he is and who he wants to be.  This comes only from inside of himself.  No one can do this for him.  I the mean time, you, as his friend, need to show him that you are there for him and that you care for him for who he is and not what he looks like or what everyone else sees him as.  I hope both you and your friend find the true beauty in each of you.

Realize that if other people can see your strengths, you shouldn't be focusing on your weaknesses. Open your eyes and see that beauty that everyone around you does. Be the person that writes the poetry, not the poem.
