They say time heals all wounds,
But sometimes that doesn't seem to work.
The days go by, but the memories stay.
Remembering the good times is what hurts.

They say that I will get over you,
And sometimes I think they are right.
I know I will move on with my life,
But I get lonely, laying in bed at night

They say that I don't need you.
You would just break my heart,
But they are the ones who did that,
When they took me and you a part.

They say it was for the best,
That our relationship had to end.
But i can't help think they are wrong,
Now that I just lost my best friend.

They say that I am too young,
And we should not be together.
But how should they know my heart.
It chooses where it wants to be forever.

Sometimes I think of all they say,
And wonder if it is a lie.
Would they have said it at all,
If they say how much I cry?

I really like this poem a lot and it reminds me of a few situations I myself have been in. The whole lost love is really powerful!

this one has my vote! i think everyone can relate to a situation like this in thier lives. this poem is very, very beautiful. keep it up, i can't wait to read more.

This poem explains my relationship between my boyfriend and me. My family forbids our love, and tries to keep us apart. It hurts-I know. Great poem!
