Starlight gaze, Moonlights glare
Is what we see really there?
Or mirrored by our fantasy
Illusions put there hopelessly

Fortunes sought, fortunes made
Will all be lost when comes the grave
Striving for that endless goal
In the end will it save our immortal soul

Beauty born fades with time
But illusions thereof stay in the mind
Inner beauty is what's best
When character is put to the test

Wishful thoughts achieve but one thing
As idle hands become the Devil's playthings
Are you prepared to let this be
Or fight with your all to be set free

Take your life down off the shelf
Reach the full potential within yourself
Maybe then you'll understand
The truth of being Human

I've never read this before..when did you write it?  I'm you biggest fan; not only of your singing, but of this too.  I'm just really thankful that now I have an oppurtunity to read from you more often.  This may be my favorite works of yours so far.

That was a great poem.  So true.  People tell me all the time that inner beauty is what really counts...  well, keep up the writing, you're really good!

i voted for this. its true inter beauty is what counts but there are alot of people who go out with other for what they look like and how much money they have. but i'm happy i read the lines inside a person. great read keep it up.

Absolutely fabulous. I'm in love with it! You have an incredible talent, and I could write forever and not feel I've said enough. AMAZING WORK.
