My clothes are tattered,
my feet are bare,
there’s dirt on my face,
all they can do is stare.

I have walked through life,
through these streets of hate,
walked with my head high
still hard to keep my face straight.

Anger was the only mother
I have ever really known,
fear was my teacher,
never had anything of my own.

Now my time has come,
I am all alone,
searched all my life
for a place to call home.

Through all my searches,
through all my despairs,
I now know something,
there’s one Person who cares.

I am just another nothing
and the world call for my blood,
home is where the heart is,
my heart is with God.

Waves...amazing hey? Wind blowing over smoothe ocean water creates shear. The longer the wind blows, and the futher the fetch, the more energy gets transferred from the wind to the water. What started off as a breeze 1 000km away, ends up as a glass-faced barrel at some far off beach.

This was a very well written poem.  I am glad to see how much you care about GOD.  I hope to see some more.

well, I know how you feel. My whole life I h ave been told so many bad htings about me. I did a lot just to prove to my "family" that I am worth something. I becaqme a model to put a stop to the taunts my siblings gave about me not being as "beautiful" as them. (but with the modelling came my anorexia) I went to state solos and ensembles for choir and took 2nd in state solos. I've gone far and proved alot to my family. I've always had a house but not a home. I've never felt like a person, I always felt insufficient. Not because I was, but because I was told so. Well, turns out that I quit modelling and singing just because they weren't my passion! I only did it to prove I could. I was proud but well, that stuff didn't matter to me. I have babbled for quite some time now and it sort of seems like I have no point. But I do, and here it is: All of us at some point feel alone and only find ourselves in the depths of our darkness. I know how you feel and I'm sorry you have felt this pain because it is a lonely and terrible feeling. Keep up the  wonderful writing and just keep the faith! I know things will work out for the better! You've obviously been through a lot and for that my friend, you will receive the compensation that you deserve! Love Always~*~Jessica~*~

p.s. sorry about the long and almost pointless reply!

Thanks for the replays, thanks Pryncess, it means alot to me. (Whenever I read something you wrote, be it a poem, a replay, I always think of my friend wo was killed)

Jeremiah...to you, you are dead, but I have found alotta answers in your poetry

One thing I have to say, success is failure turned inside out,  the silver tint of the coulds of doubt, and you never can tell how close you are, it may be near when it seems so far...

...so stick to the fight when you are hardest hit, it's when things seem worst when you must not quit.

Thank again you guys, it mean so much.
