Peace at Night

The peaceful sound of night.
To whom does it belong?
To the God above, or all of those
who listen to it's song?
A gentle breeze
like a mother's hand,
a slowly passing car,
the locusts chirping softly...
I hear them near and far.
All of those who truly listen,
feel the same as I .
That this peace is going to break
when night time passes by.
We fall asleep and know this peace
will be gone when we awake.
Another day we'll hurry through
for a night time breathe to take.

again here you got my vote. i love all your work and i hope to read more real soon. but i must say i kind of envy you because your friends are on here. because i write poems and my friends call me crazy. thats its just a waste of time i don't know but anyway thanks for posting this.

This is a wonderul poem, makes you feel really peacefull. You really are very talented.

Waves...amazing hey? Wind blowing over smoothe ocean water creates shear. The longer the wind blows, and the futher the fetch, the more energy gets transferred from the wind to the water. What started off as a breeze 1 000km away, ends up as a glass-faced barrel at some far off beach.
