There is a girl in my heart
So young, truthful, and so dear
She is everything to me; the world
I am so happy everytime she is near
As autumn’s sweet caress touches my cheek
I think of her and tears tingle my eyes
So endearing and enchanting is she to me
The first person ever to rid me of my disguise
And I would do anything at all
To show her how much I care
Because there is a void, a cavity
In my soul when she isn’t there
There’s a heaven, and then there’s her
So considerate and thoughtful, so kind
And it makes me smile when I watch her think
Wondering what is going through her mind

I once showed her my feelings
I gave her a poem, revealing a love naked and bare
But I don’t deserve such a wonderful person
And now when I turn, she isn’t there
She is what gives church bells their chime
She takes away pain and gives warmth to a cold night
So passionate a woman I have never met
And I remember the night on the bridge under a starry twilight
There are so many things in this world
Which shimmer and shine with grace
But none are so beautiful or as enlightening
As the vision of her sweet, smiling face
There are a lot of people in this city
Whose hearts are made of gold
But she has a heart laced with
A loving nature which will never grow old

And I wish I could be the one for her
Her one and only true love
But time and difference have carried me away
Now the angel is leaving for above
She is everywhere and all at once
Where her feet touch the grass does grow
Where her gaze falls and lingers
The waterfalls of eternity sprinkle and flow
Shadows do part when she waltzes by
So daintily and so pleasantly
She is a rainbow on a rainy day
She is the queen of the blessed be
She is so lovely
Too lovely ever for me
She makes the stars seem dull in comparison
She is a princess, so perfect to see

And when I am alone
She is always in my thoughts and pondering
She is there within me to guide me
Through my travels and wandering
And I miss her so much
As I softly touch the gift she gave
I’ll carry it around my neck everywhere from
God’s beautiful Earth to the darkness of my grave
Of her, I could write a thousand words
And still not cease for a thousand more
She is the pinnacle of existence
For me, the key to heaven’s golden door
She is all I ever needed in a soulmate
She is the friend who taught me to care
Sadly, the young lady I am in love with
….………..is no longer there.

This is such a lovely poem. There is alotta emotion in it, and sooo sad!

I can't say I know how it feels to loose a soulmate, but I have lost a friend that is dear to my heart.

Hang in there and keep up the good stuff,

Waves...amazing hey? Wind blowing over smoothe ocean water creates shear. The longer the wind blows, and the futher the fetch, the more energy gets transferred from the wind to the water. What started off as a breeze 1 000km away, ends up as a glass-faced barrel at some far off beach.
