So I crawl out of bed muttering to myself,
Seven O'clock in the morning,
The alarm clock just went off without warning,
I look like a little elf.

Slide into my desk just in time,
Fifteen minutes late but still fifteen before the others,
I turn on the computer that's mine,
Check my voice mail, hear the messages and contemplate returning home to the safety of my covers.

Do this do that,
With all this running I surely won't get fat!
Funny thing is, after I've done the first task,
I turn to the second, which contradicts the first - like a Miss America who wears a Halloween mask.

Oh she frustrates me so,
A boss who I'd like to tell where to go.
But silently I hold my tongue and grin,
To pay for college this job I can not let end.

As you can see I am a bit *frustrated* with my boss right now

i had a boss like this. i know exactly how you feel! great way to vent. i chose more...colorful methods of venting... this was much more beautiful. =)

well penned.

We all got somethin' we need to atone for.

Oh Ethan trust me, this poem was *much* more colorful before I submitted it to passions. THanks for the reply. Oh she angers me and if I didn't need the job . . .!!!!!!

Yeah!! Another person who hates working. Thank God I'm not the only one and the worst thing is if I complain to anyone they think I'm Lazy!!!! Hope college goes well and maybe someday you'll be the evil boss !!! I know I want to be anyway ..Great poem.

Yeah, it's not that I hate working I just don't like working with illogical people like my boss. I could go on and on about her but let's suffice it to say that she loves controling me so to speak b/c she has so many peolple above her. She is such a, well I can't write it here but you know the word I"m thinking!!

i like this one alot...i had a boss that i didnt like at times too.. he was the cheapest person i ever met...i waitressed for almost a year gettting paid $2.50 an hour plus tips but sometimes they werent good. when i asked him for a raise he laughed in my face and i quit. sure should him who was the boss....

LOL, I think everyone has had a boss like this at some point. I can't complain b/c the pay here is excellent and for the most part I like my job (I work at Kelloggs) just not some of the people

I really liked your poem! I as well as just about everyone else has had a boss that we would like to tell where they need to go! I too quit my job and laughed in their face! God it felt so good! But, now I don't have a job and I feel bored out of my mind! Hang in there and maybe it will be worth your time and patience! Great poem though... mysticalangel

Great poem Crystal ... you brought a smile to my face

I can honestly say ... been there, done that! Hang in there and smile all the while ... next time she gives you a hard time, just remember that she'll still be there struggling away while you're off to college soon to surpass her dreams! I smiled all my way to the top!

Whoa, thanks for replying, I didn't figure anyone would even read this poem. Kit, yup just smiling away . . . she's very frustrating but b*tch*ng about her won't fix a thing so right now I think the best plan of attack is to just smile and nod.
