As you take to the tempest skies
And fly off to your home
Remember how I used to be
Not how I am now... alone

As you go to the beautiful land
That stole your love from me
Know that I am weeping now
Tears you’ll never see

As you go off to a land
Where it is still daylight
There’s one thing that you should know
I’m dreaming of you tonight

Will you ever dream of me
In the moon’s dim light
When the stars are twinkling
Before Apollo’s chariot flight

If you ever think of me
Know that I’m thinking of you
And I’m wishing you the very best
In everything you do

I hope that no one does to you
What you’ve done to me
I used to pray each night for you
But it wasn’t meant to be

I hope you never feel the things
That you made me feel
But, despite of everything
The love I felt was real

So, as I see the sun arise
And the day’s first light
I go to bed, and wonder
What you’re dreaming of tonight

Very noble words, my co-world dominator.  A gorgeous, flowing piece of work here.  Well done!    (and we'll never free the deVine one!)

Erica,
I really like this poem and I feel really bad for you. Completely unsolicited advice here, it does get better. Someday you'll look back on this situation and thank God for it b/c it has made you a stronger person. Until then it'll just hurt like **ll. I am so sorry hon, E-mail me if you ever want to talk. My heart goes out to you.

Love,
Crystal

You know, this is the first time I've ever been in this forum Rest assured it will NOT be the last

I really didn't think the poetry in here would be this great, but, boy was I ever wrong

So, as I see the sun arise
And the day’s first light
I go to bed, and wonder
What you’re dreaming of tonight

Very well written!!!

Erica,
This is beautiful..but sad. I'm sorry for your situation but I'm very happy such beautiful poems can come from it. I hope it ends up in the book too  .

Beautiful and so deep...also full of sadness but with that spark of hope that'll keep you going. Your tears will pass...keep at it.

"Hiding in the musty attic is Elusive
She sits, cross legged in a midst dark cobwebs
Several forms scurry to seek shelter
Beneath her levitating shadow.
Her back rigid , eyes glassy
Gazes intently at time escaping
Sliding, smoothly, as sand sprinkles
Through the hour glass,
A single tear grazes her misty cheek." Lani

Dreaming can help us through some very difficult times in our lives. This was beautifully written Erica. Thanks for allowing me the pleasure of reading it.

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shodows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face...
