~STILL REMEMBERING YOU~ I still remember the day December 31, 1998, Super Bowl Sunday. The world collapsed around me, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Everyone was crying and I didn't know why, All that was said is someone reported hearing gunshots blaring. Then reality hit me when I looked in the newspaper, And there was your name. The hospital said it was like you were trying to win as if you were playing a game. I didn't want to believe it, Cause you were my friend. But six hours later after you were admitted to the E.R. They pronounced you dead. This is a result of something not worth anything, thinking you are untouchable because you are in a gang. I am bumping this one up because I think that maybe some of the new people would like to read it...I only got 1 reply to it when I posted it...So just maybe I might get some more!!! Curly~~~Thanks for the reply...I am still like not over the fact that hes gone...But sooner or later I will...Its just strange to look at his picture and know that thats the only memories I have left of him... Alwye~~~Oh was this the hardest...He was one of the closest people to me to...And then one day I find out he is dead...It is still kinda hard for me to realize that he is gone...But it was his own fault...I mean living here in Chicago with all the different gangs...He got caught up in that stupid stuff...I want to say well he learned his lesson but what is this lesson???I cant say that and I dont know what else to say...But thank you for the reply...< !signature--> It TaKeS a MiNuTe To LiKe SoMeOnE, aN hOuR tO hAvE a CrUsH oN sOmEoNe & A dAy To FaLl In LoVe, BuT iT tAkEs A lIfEtImE tO fOrGeT sOmEoNe. I have had a few friends die. More than 1....less than 10....thats all the info you need to know . BUt anyway....... i hope that everything is ok with you, sorry about the friend, i know how it feels more than once and less than 10  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

Erin, what a powerful poem, if anyone knows more so how you feel, you knwo it's me. When I lost Trent I didn't know what to do. He wasn't in a gang. A good and innocent kid who was driving in the wrong place at the wrong time...and all because someone was so selfish, I lost my eternal best friend.
