This was written in November of 99', but Kandi's goodbye poem urged me to post it, I hope she and you all like it.

I Miss You

I'm writing you this letter
to that I'm okay.
I know you worry all the time-
every night and day.
Just ease your mind, trust in me-
I'll never le tyou down.
You know I love you just the same
as if you were here now.

I know that there's a way
to get inside your heart.
Even though your gone,
we're not that far apart.
All I have to do is look
up into the sky.
Every single word I say,
I know you'll take inside.

I'm writing you this letter.
You're reading as I go;
but just how much I miss you,
you'll never even know.

Jeremy,
I really like this poem. No offense but it reminds me of that song somewhere out there, you know the line "And even though we may be very far apart it helps to htink we're sleeping under neath the same bright star"? Anywho, I like this poem very much. Guess what! I posted -- check it out, it's called Dear God.

"The worst of what people do to one another is deceive.
Because when you love someone you control their version
of reality. If you lie to them that's like making them
autistic so that what they believe is reality is in fact,
not their true situation at all."

It's not the angry words that break the heart, it's the silence.

Someone said that true love is like a ghost -- often spoke of but never seen.
I've seen both and yet in my darkest hours, tend to believe that neither exits.

Oh my God, Jeremy...you don't even know how much this means to me! Of course I like it! I LOVE it! Thank you so much for thinking of my when you posted it. I can't tell you how much better you've made me feel.  I think this was something I really needed to hear right now.
You pretty much had me pegged in your reply to Rainmaker too.  I give everything to my friends and I always make sure to tell them how much they mean to me, but sometimes I wonder if they'd give half as much back to me. I'm lucky though because I have a few friends who I know would do anything for me, and I sincerely hope that you do too because we all need that in this God-forsaken world. You are so incredibly right - the world WOULD be so much better if everyone were as good of a friend as you and me are. I'm not trying to sound self-righteous; I just know that friendship is an area I'm good in.
Anyhoo, it means a lot to me when you reply to my work, and your work always gives me something to say back to you, so I look forward to more back and forth criticism.
And again, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU a million times over. If there were another way to say it, I would...in capital letters.

Much Love Always

PS - I am so flattered that you want to hang my poem on your wall. Coming from you, that is a greater compliment then any other praise of my work could ever bring.  Of course you have my permission.  To know that I somehow inspired a talent like you means so much to this little heart of mine   lol Later!

dear jeremy,
this is quite good... and quite touching... *heh* it seems that the death of loved ones is a prominent theme in the teen forums these days... a few days ago i wrote the first quatrain of a poem for my dying grandfather... perhaps i'll have to finish that sonnet and post it here in the near future... i'm sure that your grandma judy is tickled pink (if you can be tickled and turn pink in the life after??) with this poem and with how much you care for her...

sincerely,
a sad tomato

you're such a beautiful freak... i wish there were more just like you...
