Burden

Wildly the wind, and bitterly
Is sobbing as it grieves;
Calling in loss to the night sky,
Tossing in woe the leaves;
Sweeping in pain o'er the prairie,
Mounting the crags with a moan;
Dropping from heights in an anguish,
To wail with a minor tone...
But I, whose sorrow is muted,
Know not that greater gain
Of voicing in night-wind freedom
The burden of my pain.

A wonderful read indeed!
