This is a poem inspired by my pastor sermon, which got me thinking.  Then later on PUSHED on me by my favorite Christmas song Little Drummer Boy.  The subject is what would you give Jesus as a gift.  I not sure if i should have posted it here or not but this is where i feel at home so i did it here.

A Converstion with Jesus, “Remembering the Past”

That special night long ago I can still remember it
You have asked me here this night without reasons
The others … they, … they brought gifts
I had none to give
The boy played the drum
I had no knowledge not how to do so
You created many questions that night
Why have you asked me here today?
Was it to humiliate me?
Was it to humble me?
If so what have I done to deserve so?
I have no gold or herbs
I have no skills or trades
What have you asked me here for?
Why are you smiling at me so?
But it was then I realized what it was you were asking for.
All you were asking for was me.

There's a peace inside us all
Let it be your friend
It will help you carry on
In the end
There's a peace inside us all
-Creed

baerlon,
all you were asking was me.
What a great line. And what a lovely poem
