Gabriel Ashlyn Corallo! Your goo goo's & ga ga's, are far behind us now. Your squirms quickly became steps, though I don't recall just how. You used to fit perfectly across one arm, now I struggle with two. Even though I miss those days, now it's so interesting watching you. You're changing a little more each day, & learning something new, when I'm away. You'll soon grow out of Auntie Katie, & it'll be just plain Aunt. Nana's will be banana's, wa-wa to water, & ma to Grandma. The baby-talk will be, thrown out all together, along with your diapies. Aminals will be referred by name, instead of sometimes by sound. Your eyes will hold more to them, & will be a little further from the ground. Two will soon be three, & then quickly to four, & before I know it, you'll be out the door. To kindergarten you'll go, & surprise them all, with everything you know. You'll fool them with your meltable smile, then they'll trust you, & leave you alone a while. Then comes that devilish grin. You'll steal that cookie, yes, again, you win! You always win, how not fair! You won my love, all my nosie kisses, with your 1st breath of air. So you can keep on growing, & continue surprising me. Call me Auntie Katie once in a while, & I'll be as happy as I can possibly be! I have a Gabriel also...he's 27 now but I can still remember holding him in the rocking chair and singing French love songs to him...they grow up fast...enjoy the magic moments...James |
