Why do you think
Love is called a she?
Do you think Love would be
any less wonderful if it were a he?

Would it not still
bring warmth to your heart?
And would you not still feel the longing
when you and your loved one are apart?

Would you not still feel safe
wrapped in Loves tight hold?
And would Love not still shelter you
from the blistering cold?

Why then bother calling Love
She or He?
Why not just be happy knowing
what it can do for you and me?

Interesting.. I've don't think I've ever categorized Love before. And yes, we should only focus on what it can give.

With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free..

Interesting way of using Love as an object in the poem:
Would you not still feel safe
wrapped in Loves tight hold?
And would Love not still shelter you
from the blistering cold?

Love can be looked at in many different ways... i just never pictured it as a she..... Love is more of a neverending story, but no matter the case... love should just be LOVE. Thank you for sharing your view of what love is to you. I enjoyed it deeply.
