Red, White and Blue, Through and Through - The Song of the World

We have removed that silly thing called faith,
And replaced it instead with a science that embraces fate.
Our hearts are clean now, and white as snow.
We will only trust in something that our feeble minds can know.
We are so empty and cold.
We are blue because our feeble senses are the only mold
That tells us what we can know.

Forget the heart.  It's just a pump.
Forget purity, that's just rhetoric from some control freak.
There's no rise in depression.  That's just an excuse.

Welcome to the new world, my friend.  Ignore what was said,
For you don't need faith, only pleasure.
Then when it's all over, just quietly go to bed.

We are the human race.
We are the smart animals.

There's no morality.
That's just what the religious used to say,
In order to control the world.

We are red and white.
We have removed faith,
And we are pure.
But in our analysis, we have forgotten our purpose.
We are blue.
We are red, white, and we are blue,
Through and Through.

This is great...I love your message here.

Forget the heart.  It's just a pump.
Forget purity, that's just rhetoric from some control freak.
There's no rise in depression.  That's just an excuse.

Very well written - thanks for the read.

Thenkyou for the compliments.  I wrote this one in response to people who think that think that there is no absolute morality, nor any religions or anything else like that.
