THE NIGHTINGALE

Come morning of the Nightingale,
Draw tight the veil, don’t lift the eyes¼
For in such things all dark avails
And Death entails her prize.

In daily whims, while Darkness swims
Across horizons vast,
Hold tight the dreams for all they seem
Through visions of the past¼

Holy, indeed, and yet we bleed,
Wholly, indeed, but still¼
The presence lifted finds us sifted,
Grievously, ill-

Fated for the most part in a dying art,
Echoed only in song.
Come mourning of the Nightingale
We’ll wail o’er her wrong.

Michael Anderson

But dreams of those who dream as I,
Aspiringly, are damned and die.

I liked it. Very interesting.

Ronil (The sweet sound of summer sends serenity through my soul searching for that evermore solitude.)
