I disappeared
for three point two days
Inside a shell
and cowared for my mother
I don't want anymore of this
running
and dancing about
like a Ballerina with
a broken leg
I thought about
if I had never
pressed the pedal
and decided
to park instead
I would have stumbled
on that desert road
I would have been
thankful for breath
I would have walked
farther away
Lunar, sinner
I tripped under your glow
and whispered
"Mother, let me grow
apart."
But she, my mother,
laughs a my thoughts
and says,
"Babygirl ... babygirl,
who do I love?"
She doesn't understand
my constat need
to leave
Mother, I run just like you
I think you know this
I am your daughter
and you taught me well
Run to Hell and its
angels to kiss upon
Run to anyone
because we victimized
our trailer park
wheels
Drinking our glory
into a treasure box
Locking away our armor
scraped clean
Sleeping with
the enemy
Sleeping with our
perfect passion
purple panty
pleas
Just like the whores
on Scott and 5th
screaming for a ride
These mirror faced
reminders
I see each new grey hair
on my head like yours
scattered about
honey brown hair
and honey hazel eyes
Quietly dancing
with our shadows
in the corners of
the Rock Inn Lounge
The barmaid
remembers raping her
tips on velvet stools
And spilling her
drinks to wetten
her tongue
She owns her hell now
and will pay for
each beer bottle scream
before she leaves me
waiting
Mother, where
do we go?
When we only run
into ourselves
and you see me
crying
and I see you
lying face down
bound to the legs
stumbling across
desert roads?
Ypu stole me from
the sky
and thought I could
shine below these
wheels
Run, Mother
because I
have walked
away.

"you stole me from the sky and i thought i could shine below these wheels."

i loved this line., the whole poem was actually great. there are so many implications. i wouldn't even know where to begin, but by saying, great work.
