Listening to every heart

0 posted 2000-11-25 11:35 PM

caught in glow of twinkling lights
thought she again, "everything's all right"
snowflakes came, just on time
to catch her up again in Christmas rhyme

and songs began again in her inner soul
the songs of Him, that made her whole
the birth and life of Christ on earth
of the day that made everything have worth

she filled, she filled, with season bright
she willed, she willed, with all her might
to have the strength to go on once again
to see this season through, and then

she woke again, in freezing cold
and gone again, the dream of old.

Karilea
If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Karilea....Christmas is a strange time for me too.  Your poem says so much, not only for what is written here, but as much for what is not here.  Nicely done.  Hardrock
