it's just a hole
within my chest
the spark of you
without the rest
the empty, empty
emptiness...

the ache, the pine
no solace...
sleep...forever,
wake, unrest...
everything's been done--
unless--

I could taste you once again...

Beloved, twin
of soul of mine
I sleep with
fingers, interwined...
in dreams, I grasp
your hand to kiss
and find my own hand
greets my lips...

I long to taste you once again...

I wake knowing...alone, again...

Wow, serenity, the "ache" in this one bleeds forth powerfully and effortlessly.  Well done poem, dear.

Stunning.

Faultless.

Echos sentiments I have felt so many times, portrays the yearnings that are all to common to feel.

The sructure is so simple too..... reading this is a pleasure, a pleasure that remembers so many pains.

A truly emotional piece, thankyou.

Oh My! Amazing, touched the emotion exactly. I am right there with you, Serenity.
I have to save this poem, in my heartbreak hotel area.

Thank you all so much...I realize I don't often post/reply here...so your tolerance of me is much appreciated. Just a little note to my "sleep" muse---y'see, I have trouble sometimes, and to go to sleep? I imagine myself in the arms of love...sometimes it works...sometimes it backfires.

But thanks...Love to you all.
