The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2000-11-04 09:28 AM

Apparently I am not letting go yet
working on it, really..

Still you invade my thoughts,
trample my nights of peace-
this is not what I sought.

I wake with a headache,
of twisted dreams remains,
and a sleep of heartache.

Reckless cruelty destroyed
the layers of my love,
while you acted annoyed.

Did I ever know you?
My lover, my artist-
what change has brought us to..

very deep...do we ever really know another? I think we sometimes don't know ourselves completely. we all view our world differently.
From behind my eyes,
I see this world,
From behind my eyes,
I hide in this world.
I watch the stage,
Direct the cast.
I glimpse the future,
And dream of the past.
From behind my eyes,
I tell my truths,
And conceal my lies.
If only you could see this world,
From behind my eyes.

And you may see it different from me...but we all feel in the same ways. love your writing. It feels. Ron

Cat- I do the same, except for the heartache, mine is loss, like a death but the  headaches and the twisted dreams are beginning to scare me besides the fact that they are exhausting me.

Yep - see, you're writing my heart from a year ago - not fond memories, but I understand them.

This is all so very sad and all I can say is I hope things clear up soon.

Great poem!

I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them!
